iOS 12 new features
With iOS 12, Apple is bringing a tonne of new features, but the focus remains around performance improvements. Apple says iOS 12 users will see 30 percent faster overall response, and up to 40 percent quicker launch time for applications. To recall, Apple had originally announced iOS 12 back at WWDC, and the operating system has been available in the form of both developer preview and public preview for sometime now. Apple also touts that the keyboard appears 50 percent faster on iOS 12 while the camera opens up to 70 percent faster.
One of the main new features with iOS 12 is ARKit 2.0, which brings shared experiences. Apple demoed a new application called Measure, which uses ARKit to measure things just using the iPhone. At the event today, developers showcased how ARKit 2.0 can be used to play games by simply pointing your phones at one another.
